Air conditioning
How often have you lain awake when high temperatures have made sleep impossible? Counting sheep hasn't worked and open windows bring pollution and noise. You feel the night may never end!. The Comfort Cube is the answer, providing a constantly comfortable environment. Designed to fit through a standard loft hatch into a roof space, the Comfort Cube needs no external condensing unit. The only visible part of the system are two small ceiling grilles, one through which cooled, filtered air is quietly delivered into the room and one for return air. All functions of the Comfort Cube are programmed using the handy remote control unit.
This unit is designed to be built into or onto the wall. The section behind the unit, which houses the workings normally in the outdoor unit, is the correct depth for a standard cavity wall. Externally you only see two grilles. The unit is very quiet and is controlled with an infrared remote controllerThe Diva is a brand new and very exciting monobloc unit. It does not have an outside condensing unit and is therefore perfect for difficult planning areas. It both cools and heats but it also has a large number of other functions which make it unique. The unit is 2.25kw cooling and 2.6kw heating. It is great for bedrooms and offices.
Air Conditioning / heat pump units come in many shapes and sizes. Many of the terms used may not be well known and we therefore hope to clear up some of the misconceptions and advise you realistically on the answer to your cooling/heating requirements.
Many people are not aware that air conditioning units both cool and heat. The best way to explain this is to use a fridge as an example. The back of a fridge is hot - the refrigeration process removes the heat from the air and this heat is then removed. Air Conditioning units use a reverse cycle which provides heat when required by reversing the refrigeration cycle. This form of heating is very economic as for every 1kw of energy used, up to 3kws of heat are produced.
One of the most used terms is split system. This means that the system has an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. These two sections are connected by refrigeration copper lines. Another term used is monobloc. This describes a unit which is unitary and therefore does not have a seperate indoor and outdoor unit.
Main Functions:
MOVEMENT SENSOR Activation or deactivation by means of the sensor for sensing presence
LIGHT SENSOR When natural or artificial light fades it enables the sleep function INTERFACE GSM (Optional) A simple SMS to set and control diva. CARBON MONOXIDE
SENSOR An alarm signals that the safety threshold has been exceeded COOLING Cleaned fresh air HEATING To warm the room in the mid seasons
DEHUMIDIFICATION For a dry and comfortable room VENTILATION Cleans and recycles the air in the room SLEEP This progressively reduces the air conditioning during night hours TIMER It switches the unit on and off automatically thus saving energy
